HOW TO ATTACH A MT4 EXPERT ADVISOR ON TO A MT4 CHART

STEP 1: First you have to paste your Expert Advisor on Metatrader’s “Experts” folder.

Ex. C:\Program Files\Metatrader\experts

STEP 2: Launch Metatrader Platform. If Metatrader is already started you will have to restart Metatrader inorder for it to automatically compile the EA.

STEP 3: You will then be able to see your Expert Advisor from the MT4’s “Navigator Window” under “Expert Advisor” category.

STEP 4: Drag and Drop the EA on the chart or Right Click on the EA name and choose “Attach to a chart”.

STEP 5: On the “common” tab of the Expert Advisor Properties window, make sure to check ‘Allow Live Trading’ then press “OK”.

STEP 6: On The upper right hand side of the chart you will now be able to see the EA name.

STEP 7: If you see an X beside the EA name that means that the EA is disabled. To Enable the EA simply click on the Expert Advisor button on the upper tool bar.

When you have successfully attached the EA on the chart you will see a "Smiley" face beside your Expert Advisor’s name.
